What is included in the college coaching package that I choose?

I offer a variety of coaching packages to select from, depending on how many colleges you plan to apply to. I can also tailor a package to a student’s needs. The first step is to contact me to discuss your plans.

Can you guarantee that a student will be accepted by their dream school?

This is a guarantee that no admissions coach can make. College admissions are complex and involve many factors. What I do promise is that I will help each student find their unique story and create a compelling application for each school. .

How many hours does it take to complete an application?

This is rather like asking “how long is a piece of string?” The answer is that it depends on many factors, such as the colleges the student intends to apply to, how much work they put in outside our sessions, and how easily they pick up editing ideas and concepts. But it’s important to understand that writing applications is something that takes time and effort.

Do you expect students to work on their applications outside of their coaching hours?

Yes. It is extremely important that each student understands that there will be ‘homework’ to complete between coaching sessions. For example, a student might be asked to research the mission statement, majors and opportunities at their chosen colleges, or to respond to my written feedback for edits on their essays. Completing these tasks is critical for successful applications.

How does your approach differ from the big college application companies?

I am a freelance college app coach, so each student works directly with me. You are not assigned to a sub-contracted coach, and you receive my personal attention from start to finish.

How many students do you work with?

I give personalized attention to each individual, and so I work with a limited number of students each year.

When would we meet?

We will create a schedule to meet regularly until the applications are complete. Some students prefer weekly meetings, some prefer twice weekly, or during school vacations, we can meet more regularly for longer periods.

Are your packages refundable or transferable?

Unfortunately, because I reserve time for each individual student, packages cannot be refunded or transferred. However, I understand that life can throw some curveballs, so if you have any questions about your package, please contact me sooner rather than later.
